Safety & Security Assessments

Safety & Security Assessments include assessing an entire district which includes educational facilities, athletic and support services. These assessments provide a comprehensive report the school can use to make improvements in safety & security.

Our professionals have seen thousands of campuses and have real world experience and are up to date on current safety & security standards and practices. We provide these assessments.

Assessments look at current emergency plans, policies, practices and physical features. We recommend an assessment every 3 years. The current cycle runs from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2026.

Emergency Operations Plans (EOP)

Emergency Operations Plans (EOP's) are an important document for any organization. The EOP outlines how the school addresses emergencies. The plan also includes NIMS Incident Command Structure, campus maps and much more. The plans are written to FEMA and DHS standards which require NIMS compliance. NIMS (National Incident Management System) is a set of standards set after the 9-11 attacks. It's a framework for responding to emergencies. Presidential Directive 5 requires any organization that desires to receive Federal aid after a disaster to have adopted the NIMS protocols.

Our consultants can write your EOP, this is a collaborative effort between SOT and the school.

cybrsecurity

Cybersecurity is one of the most overlooked areas when it comes to school safety and security. Bad guys are at it 24/7. Our services include internal and external penetration, vulnerability assessment, fortification, SIM monitoring and remediation.

colorado school guardian program

The School Guardian Program utilizes school staff members who already have handgun training. In most cases by the time police arrive the damage id done. School staff are already on campus, know their campus layout and will protect kids.

There is an intense qualification process which includes an MMPI psychological evaluation, background check by a private investigator and an interview.

Guardians are trained in handgun combat which encompasses dynamic shooting skills, SIM based scenario training and classroom training. The purpose of the program is stop a threat on campus quickly.
